Seiswave geology Services is seeking a highly capable Systems Engineer with a broad background, to support the development and testing of bespoke uncrewed underwater vehicles (UUVs). The successful candidate will work with electronic engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and production personnel to design, model, integrate, test, and validate electronic components, electro-mechanical assemblies, and subsea systems used in maritime robotics applications. 

  • At least 2 years of Business Analysis experience preferably in a same field
  • Lead a multidiscipline engineering team including work task prioritisation, assignment and review.

Responsiblities:

  • Provide recommendations and forward thinking for effective and intelligent system/subsystem design.
  • Perform engineering design analysis to establish validity of designs.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documents, concept of operations documents, interface control documents, and operations manuals.
  • Select, specify, develop, modify, integrate, and evaluate sensors, actuators, communication devices, cabling and connectors, and electrical components (including COTS modules) for both subsea and related surface interface systems. 
  • Create & manage project plans to track development activities.
  • Review mechanical and electrical drawings for compliance with approved requirements. 
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of prototype hardware in the lab and in a marine environment.
  • Develop project test plans and test procedures, provide test planning support, and lead the execution of both lab testing and offshore testing.
  • Conduct electronic testing on hardware for digital and analogue circuitry.
  • Conduct experimental tests on equipment, evaluate results, and develop specifications for deliverable systems & subsystems.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of product issues during testing and determine appropriate resolution.
  • Provide field support planning, shipboard at-sea testing and technical operational support. Interact with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners.
  • Prepare and present design review materials & test results for technology executive and project stakeholders.
